I have bought the donation package regularly since 2008, and what I really like is what happens over time if you continue to donate. I buy trees sometimes, but it is the donation package that is so good.
Since mid-2008, I have paid 49 euro a month, and this makes me happy because I know what a difference it makes to the people and the environment in Africa. What I like is that I am contributing to what I think is important—entrepreneurship for women, building schools for the children, and helping with water donations so that people can survive the harsh conditions in Kenya.
All this happens while I take care of my own financial future by investing in trees in the donation package. I feel safe and happy when I can do all of this at the same time.
Environmental issues also really move me—even 25 years ago, I was already infuriated by the acidification of forests. With the donation package, I can help prevent this from continuing. Planting trees is something I think is an important solution to our problems, and I am proud of myself for being able to contribute.
