Better Globe's New Ford Fiesta
We are proud to introduce our very first Better Globe car! We have gotten a fuel efficient Ford Fiesta, that will be exposed throughout the state of Florida. The wraps on the car have already attracted a lot of attention and people ask "What is Better Globe"? The sole purpose of the car, is to make Better Globe known to as many people as possible.
Customer Trip to Kenya, July 2013
This summer, 17 Better Globe customers went down to Kenya for their first time. Better Globe had arranged the sixth guided trip, where curious participants get many impressions from the African life. One thing is to watch TV and movies about Africa. Another thing is to be there and experience firsthand. Our trips have always made deep impact on our visitors and many come back home and feel their view of life has changed.
Our group of visitors got to see the tree plantations. Our forestry expert Jan Vandenabeele gave a proper introduction of the trees' life cycle, from the processing of seeds and up to several year old trees, to final products of furniture made of our eminent mahogany tree called mukau. A lof of different techniques were explained, like drip irrigation, cloning and grafting of trees, plants to shelter for wind etc.
The tour bus was faithful and kept the group safe all the way to their different destinations, with many hours on disasterous roads. In addition to Better Globe' plantations, they also visited refurbished schools and a new microfinance bank; all funded by Better Globe.
